I have an almost religious zeal... not for technology, but for the Internet which is for me the nervous system of mother Earth, which I see as a living creature, linking up.

bokeh-dandelionThis is an example of “bokeh” photography, a Japanese term which literally means “blur” or “haze” and refers to the way a camera lens renders out-of-focus points of light… I don’t know the name of the photographer and regret I can’t credit him/her, but I thought it was a wonderful image to illustrate Millman’s reference to the inter-connected “nervous system” of the earth, and the “points of light” we all are on the Internet.
